CHALLENGE

AMIDS is an emerging centre for excellence in advanced manufacturing, anchored by the Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre (MMIC) and National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS). Our client needed advice on target occupier sectors for its serviced land plots and ‘tech’ terrace units, and the need for advanced manufacturing units in Glasgow.




SOLUTION

Savills Economics assessed market drivers for advanced manufacturing units, alongside employment and business growth to identify high-growth advanced manufacturing sectors that AMIDS could target. We also assessed the property market for the manufacturing market in Glasgow and the extent to which it is over or under-supplied relative to identifiable advanced manufacturing clusters.




RESULTS

We delivered a robust assessment of key target sectors, which informed our client's marketing and leasing strategy.
