Cal is the founder and Global head of Workthere, he is also co-head of Savills Flex. Cal advises on all aspects of flexible workspace, helping owners, operators and occupiers on this specialist sector.
Cal joined Savills as a graduate in 2011, qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2013 and worked within Savills commercial development team based in London.
In July 2016 Cal set-up Workthere, an advisory platform that helps occupiers search and secure flexible workspace. Cal pitched the idea to Savills after seeing an opportunity for Savills to cater for growing businesses seeking flexible workspace over a more conventional lease. Workthere launched in the UK in Feb 2017, and has since launched across 10 other countries, including the US, India, Singapore, Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Poland and Vietnam.
In 2021, Savills Flex was created as a consultancy service for clients needing advice on any aspect of delivering flexible workspace. Savills Flex uses the market data collected by Workthere to provide insight to owners, operators and occupiers on any aspect of flexible workspace.
