Edward joined Savills in 2019 as a renewable energy surveyor in Savills Cambridge office. Edward now leads on energy development work within the energy & infrastructure team under the Savills Earth division.
Edward acts for a number of large scale solar and battery developer clients to source development opportunities and provide consultancy advice on the development process. Most notable is the land assembly work he is undertaking for a number of nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIP) across the UK totalling 30+ GW of generation capacity. He also provides strategic advice to both landowners and estate/portfolio managers to facilitate decision making and future investment strategies.
Edward has experience in site identification, appraisal and land acquisition for a wide range of renewable technologies including solar, batteries (BESS), wind, nuclear and hydrogen. Coming from a background in chemistry before qualifying under the RICS land & resources pathway allows Edward to both understand and convey the technical detail involved in energy projects.
Edward divides his time across the Savills Cambridge, Norwich and London offices and has built strong relationships with key members of other divisions within Savills across the UK, particularly within the rural division. Edward’s work covers the whole of the UK and has, in the past, included development work in both France and the Netherlands.
