Our Workplace Strategy & Design team were integral in the creation of a new world-class building located in York which was once a vacant car park. It was important to engage with users from multiple Hicox’s offices around the country to define excellence and quality. Following extensive surveys and strategic thinking, KKS pulled together a consortium of consultants to deliver an iconic modern building set within a historic context.
With our fully integrated knowledge of base building systems, occupier needs and preferences, local community involvement, historic preservation, and Robert Hiscox own personal extensive art collection, together we created a fully sustainable building promoting displaced air, chill beams and exposed concrete, fluid organic stair as a main feature to promote movement. Gym style showers and facilities, roof terrace and even a beehive.
