
James heads Savills UK forestry Investment service and advises private and Institutional clients on acquisitions, disposals and asset management.
James started work in Savills in 1997 practicing in rural estate management before leaving to undertake a specialist forestry Investment role. He returned in 2016 to set up Savills specialist forestry Investment service and specialises in market analysis, developing Investment strategy, the appraisal, acquisition and disposal of forest property, creating forest business models and forest valuations.
James continues to undertake some estate management consultancy, is a farmer and has a strong interest in country sports. He lives on a farm in Perthshire with his wife and two children. James is an executive committee member of the Association of Deer Mangement Groups.
