James Perna

James started his career within the consents industry in 2005 working as a contractor to electricity transmission and distribution network operators across the UK. He moved to Inverness to work directly for a transmission operator in 2011 and joined the Savills infrastructure team in 2013. James has worked on all types of projects from small connections to major infrastructure schemes for electricity, telecoms, water, gas and renewables developers. He has experience and specialises in injurious affection claims, statutory notices, necessary wayleaves, complex compensation/loss claims and route selection.

James is responsible for the management of the Savills land consents client relationships, framework contracts and business development within this area of expertise, ensuring performance, quality and delivery is at the highest standard. He also oversees the recruitment, selection and management of the UK land consents teams in conjunction with each regional lead land consents surveyor.
