Burtree Garden Village Phase 1, Darlington

Secured the approval of the first phase of a 2,000 dwelling garden village via a hybrid EIA planning application. A strategic link road required a full consent, with the first 750 homes in outline.

Sunlight House, Manchester

Planning permission secured for a series of Planning and Listed Building Consents which will see the complete refurbishment of this iconic Grade II Listed art deco building. Including activities to bolster the sustainability credentials.

Durham University Business School

Planning consent for use of the Waterside building for the new Business School. Throughout 2024, Savills have helped to facilitate external alterations and signage in Durham City Conservation Area ahead of the opening of the building in September.

Lyme Green, Macclesfield

Secured full planning permission for 42 dwellings via an appeal. The application had been refused by Cheshire East Council on the grounds of overdevelopment and visual amenity.

South of Daleview Gardens, Egremont

Secured planning permission for 164 dwellings on greenfield land. Planning permission was granted in July 2024 and prior to the site's allocation for housing development in a Local Plan.

Moreton, Wirrall

Secured reserved matters approval for 44 homes and an 80 bed extra care facility.

Ecclestone Close, North Tyneside

Successfully secured planning permission for 57 dwellings and 6,996.54 sqft of commercial development following an appeal against the Council's refusal of permission. Two appeals for the development of the site had previously been dismissed.

The Retreat, York

Successful promotion of a 40 acre site for release from the green belt through the emerging York Local Plan. Savills were then retained to advise the appointed developer who secured full planning consent for the redevelopment.

Minster Precinct, York

Provided evidence base documents to support the RTPI award winning Minster Precinct Neighbourhood Plan which aims to manage and safeguard the future sustainability of the precinct.

Havelock, Manchester

Secured consent to discharging all planning conditions, resulting in the retention of 2,000 CO2e of embodied carbon. The project is to be the only completed BREEAM Outstanding retrofit building in Manchester and has received a Nabers 5 star rating.

Humshaugh, Northumberland

Successfully defended against a proposed Local Green Space designation in a Neighbourhood Plan (NP) which would have significantly reduced its development potential. The NP examiner agreed with the evidence that the designation was not justified.
