
CHALLENGE
Thomas White Oxford Limited and St John’s College Oxford asked us to deliver an appropriate joint venture partner for both the residential and commercial elements of Oxford North – a 64 acre, mixed-use development, with planning consent for 1m sq ft of commercial development and 480 new homes.

SOLUTION
We promoted the opportunity internationally based on Savills International Cross Border, London and Oxford team track records. From 50 expressions of interest, we shortlisted 10 for interview and then conducted two parties simultaneously through due diligence.

RESULTS
A successful exchange with Cadillac Fairview/Stanhope on a 50/50 JV basis, underwritten by outline planning consent for five commercial phases and detailed planning consent for Phase 1A of 170,000 sq ft.
