Savills acted on behalf of Legal & General Capital (L&G)in its buyout of CALA, taking the remaining 52.1 per cent equity tranche it did not own from Patron Capital. The transaction valued CALA at £605m.

A Savills team of 65, led by the residential investment and development team, and comprising regional and national valuers, consultants, planners and new homes specialists, provided acquisition and transaction support for Legal & General. Savills also appraised the CALA land bank and identified any potential synergies with other L&G businesses to identify value add opportunities.
Following this, Savills undertook a full market value, GDV and sales rate assessment and planning review of a sample of sites to determine total portfolio pricing. The team also appraised the growth of the CALA strategic land bank since the original investment by L&G to understand enterprise value and identify key areas of opportunity and growth potential.
The role included transactional support and business planning for ongoing company integration.
