Rachel Coates

Rachel joined Savills Australia in 2016 within the operational capital markets team providing valuation and strategic advice on student accommodation assets.  She returned to the UK in 2019 to spearhead the UK PBSA Valuation team.  Rachel has been Head of UK PBSA Valuation since 2022.

Rachel specialises in providing valuation advice for student accommodation investment assets and development schemes. 

Rachel has over 17 years valuation experience having started her career focussing on the valuation of commercial property before moving on to specialise in residential and subsequently PBSA valuation. She has 10 years’ experience specialising solely in PBSA valuation. 

Rachel works predominantly with major lenders, funds and PBSA operators for acquisitions, financing and accounting purposes.

Rachel is also involved in developing new graduate talent and is a RICS Counsellor and APC Assessor.
