
Sam joined the commercial research team in 2012 and provides clients in the retail property sector with wide ranging analytical support and multifaceted research requirements.
Sam has more than 10 years’ experience in delivering industry leading retail and leisure market analysis that has a significant influence over development and investment strategies, asset management, planning and leasing decisions.
He heads the out-of-town retail research function at Savills, in direct support of the agency and investment divisions, assisting retail and leisure landlords, developers, investors and operators with wide ranging analytical support and multifaceted research requirements. 
Sam has an all-encompassing approach to retail and leisure research, ranging from a micro, scheme led application, through to UK and European market wide macro-analytical outlook. His specialisms include retail location and acquisition strategies, consumer and catchment analysis, retail turnover modelling, shopping patterns and GIS, as well as developing invaluable industry insight on retail and leisure insolvency activity and its wider market implications.
