Now in its 15th year the awards, which were held virtually on the 5th February, saw 500 people from across a number of industries join together to celebrate the outstanding achievement of employers and universities in undergraduate work experience.
As part of the event trend and insights from RateMyPlacement’s latest student research survey was shared before a panel discussion with key industry stakeholders.
The award for ‘Best Student Employer’ was then announced, voted solely by student reviews. The list is compiled based on these reviews, which are submitted by more than 30,000 undergraduates, with participants asked to rate their work placements on categories including their day-to-day role and responsibilities, the company itself and the overall experience.
James Sparrow, Chief Executive of Savills UK & EMEA, comments: “To once again come second in the highly respected RateMyPlacement ranking is a fantastic achievement. What’s clear is that we have maintained this position due to Savills dedication to both nurturing and attracting the best talent. Our people remain the biggest priority for the business and this award is testament to that commitment.”
Naomi Chandler, head of the future talent team at Savills, comments: “The fact that the rankings are decided by the students themselves makes receiving this award an even greater achievement. As a team we pride ourselves on providing the very best internships and work experience placements that give students a true insight into the business and we look forward to constantly improving to ensure people continue to have this opportunity to broaden their knowledge and understanding of the real estate industry.”
