Savills wins Employer of the Year at EG Awards 2021

Savills was triumphant at the 17th annual EG awards last night, taking home the Employer of the Year Award. The event, which was hosted jointly by editor Sam McClary and actor David Harewood, took place on Thursday 28th October 2021 at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, London.

More than 700 guests from across the real estate industry attended the in-person event, a first for many since the start of the pandemic.

Savills was shortlisted for the Employer Award alongside five other firms including Knight Frank and British Land. Judged by a prestigious panel of property experts, the award looked to celebrate a great employer and a business who champions sustainability, diversity & inclusion and those who go the extra mile for their staff. Savills was praised by the judges for being ‘one of the most progressive agencies out there’ and providing a submission that ‘ticked pretty much all the boxes from closing the gap on gender pay, to a strong focus on mental health.’

Noel McGonigle, head of HR for UK, Europe and the Middle East at Savills, comments: “We are delighted to have won Employer of the Year at the EG Awards 2021. Our most valuable asset is our people and we strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment that provides opportunities for everyone to thrive whilst being the best version of themselves.”

James Sparrow, CEO of UK & EMEA at Savills, adds: “It is fantastic to be recognised by our peers for the considerable work we have done as a business in this area. To be hailed as one of the most progressive real estate firms is testament to our people who remain actively engaged in continuing to make Savills the best employer it can be. I also want to congratulate all of those who made the shortlist in several other categories, underlining our strength across the industry.”
