A community centre in Preston has taken the first steps to going green. The Intact Centre have invested in a new state of the art rainwater harvesting system. The Intact Centre is run by the Ingol and Tanterton Communuity Trust, it will now have its garden watered and toilets flushed using a 5000 litre tank buried in the ground.

The new system has been supplied and installed by renewable energy experts Carbon Zero UK, who are based in North Wales.

The Intact Centre raised money as a grant from the Local Environment Assessment Fund and views it as the first step to becoming a carbon neutral community centre.
