Savills is instructed to manage the strategic land portfolio of The Crown Estate, which is a 60+ strong collection of sites with a combined capacity to deliver 25,000 homes and 5 million sq ft of commercial space across England.

Key sites in the portfolio include:
- Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire – a potential urban extension to the east of the town that could deliver up to 4,500 new homes and 55 hectares of employment land.
- Bingham, Nottinghamshire – a major strategic site to the north of the town with planning permission for 1,050 homes and 16 hectares of employment land.
Savills provides a holistic platform in which to promote the sites through the planning system, offering a full suite of services through the life cycle of the asset. These services are coordinated by project managers across the development division nationally, providing a cohesive approach across the portfolio.
Our project managers have the responsibility to manage the assets on a daily basis, and will see the sites through the planning promotion process and eventual disposal. Savills remit extends to the provision of new assets, through a dedicated acquisitions team.
Savills national development consultancy team orchestrates the wider instruction allowing for a dedicated client team and strategic advice at the portfolio level, offering bespoke financial modelling to improve performance.
