Case Study

The Walled Garden

Trinity, Edinburgh

Selling New-Build Property

A refreshing collection of seven 3 & 4 bedroom homes which are cleverly designed, stunning and sympathetic to the desirable of Trinity in Edinburgh, sitting within a gated walled garden setting.

What we did
Savills originally sold the site to the developer, Mackenzie Residential LLP. Our Residential Development Sales team then stepped in to offer advice about the sales process and pricing which transitioned into producing a sales strategy through the consultancy process.

Further to launching, we sold out within a 3 month period which was 12 months ahead of completions on site.

Challenges overcome
Launched the property a year in advance of completions meant there was a nervousness that prospective purchasers wouldn’t buy into such a bespoke development at a high value. We sold out of the development within 3 months from launching.

We purchased our site from Savills and they were very efficient and professional to deal with. It was clear that the agent who looked after us had developed an excellent rapport with the seller and this led to a very smooth transaction once terms were agreed.

Client

Bespoke housing opportunities such as this are so unique and therefore a joy to sell as you learn more about the purchaser in question. This is because you have to work so closely with them, enlightening them on the finer detail which is something I like most about selling property.
