Selling New-Build Property

A stylish new build development of 32, 2 bedroom apartments and 3 bedroom penthouse collection within the popular location of Shawlands in the Southside of Glasgow.

Waverley Park offers urban living at its best, combining access to a range of excellent local shops, bars and leisure facilities with these modern apartments showcasing private balconies, shared roof terraces and an open outlook across Shawlands Bowling Club green.

What we did
Savills worked closely with our existing client, Kelvin Properties, providing consultancy advice on the design of the apartments and maximising the private and communal outdoor amenity space. Based on our research on the target market and what key design aspects buyers are looking for post pandemic, Kelvin Properties tailored their designs around this, maximising the outdoor spaces with over 80% of apartments having a private balcony/garden and introducing two communal residents roof gardens.  

Savills new homes team then provided the client with a detailed marketing strategy working with their nominated Graphic Designers to create a development brand, bespoke website. We then executed a highly successful 100% off plan virtual sales strategy with the development selling out completely from plan within the first 12 weeks of marketing.

The development exceeded all expectations and produced the highest £/sqft rate and monthly sales rate in Glasgow at the time.

Challenges overcome
Launching the development virtually post pandemic with no on site sales presence or show home. The Savills sales team worked closely with the marketing team to create a strong social media campaign ahead of the launch which generating over 800 enquires withing the first 6 weeks. We ensured our marketing collateral  - CGI’s, website, plot locator, local area, along with detailed specification was extremely informative in order for buyers to have the confidence to reserve from plan, via a Zoom call with our dedicated sales team,12 months prior to completion.
